SEV Invests in HOMAG EDGETEQ S-300 to Boost Capacity and Elevate Finishing Quality
As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional bespoke joinery across retail, commercial, and residential projects, SEV has recently invested in the HOMAG EDGETEQ S-300 edgebanding machine—bringing new levels of efficiency, precision, and finish quality to our production.
The Need for an Upgrade
Since 2014, our HOMAG Optimat KDF 440 C has been a reliable workhorse in our workshop. While still capable of producing a good finish, the machine was beginning to show its age. Setup times were increasing, and maintenance needs were becoming more frequent. With several high-volume projects on the horizon, we needed to expand our edgebanding capacity and improve production flow.
We chose to retain the KDF 440 C for additional support during peak workloads, but it was clear we needed a more modern, efficient solution at the heart of our operation.
Why the HOMAG EDGETEQ S-300?
Following a live demonstration at HOMAG’s Castle Donington headquarters, the EDGETEQ S-300 quickly stood out. Its airTec technology offered a superior, joint-free finish—ideal for high-end, luxury specifications. The machine's intuitive touchscreen interface allows for fast, tool-free adjustments of tape type, thickness, and width, streamlining changeovers and minimising downtime.
This flexibility was key for SEV, where projects range from commercial rollouts to bespoke residential installations, often requiring both standard and premium edge finishes.
