    SEV Strengthens team with Board Appointment - A Familiar Face Returns as Operations Director

    SEV is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Brearley as our new Operations Director, rejoining the business in December 2025. Carl brings with him more than 38 years of experience in the joinery, manufacturing, and fit-out sectors, along with a strong track record of operational leadership, project delivery, and client account management.

    This appointment marks an important step in strengthening SEV’s operational capabilities as we continue to grow our bespoke joinery manufacturing and nationwide project delivery services.

    A Familiar Face Returns to SEV

    Carl previously worked with SEV as Senior Account Manager, successfully overseeing major shopfitting programmes for a leading UK retail group. His return in a senior leadership position reflects both his commitment to the industry and his alignment with SEV’s values, standards, and long-term ambitions.

    Extensive Industry Background

    Carl began his career in 1986 with Timber Technology Limited, progressing from trainee to estimator within a major joinery manufacturing environment. He later spent 16 years at Key Joinery Limited as Commercial Manager, working directly with clients, designers, and contractors on large-scale bespoke joinery and fit-out programmes across the UK.

    Further roles at Havelock Europa PLC, SEV, and Planova developed his expertise in estimating, project management, operational planning, and key account delivery. His blend of commercial, production, and client-facing experience makes him ideally suited to lead SEV’s operations.

    Driving Operational Excellence at SEV

    As Operations Director, Carl will oversee the full lifecycle of SEV’s manufacturing and delivery activities, including:

    • Manufacturing operations and production workflows
    • Project and site coordination to support seamless installation
    • Client account management, ensuring high-quality communication and service
    • Team leadership across production, planning, and delivery
    • Strategic input to support SEV’s growth and long-term development

    His focus will be on efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction — ensuring SEV continues to deliver outstanding craftsmanship and reliable project outcomes.
